As expected, this was an easy day to Laruns .. The foot of the western route over the Col d'Aubisque .. But we have decided to go around the mountain tomorrow through Lourdes and save these cols for a day ride with no paniers from Argeles Gazoust!
We arrived early and had salads and omelettes for lunch and are now well settled in to our very nice hotel above the pub in the centre of this busy little town!
Again today the humidity and temperature was high and it was nice to do most of our climb in the shady side of the col Marie Blanque (1034m).
