Today we rode on quiet roads to Colmar and sat out side in a cafe in the shade of Saint Martin .. the Cathedral. We enjoyed sitting and just watching the people .. Lots of organized walking tours for the tourists!
On the return we found the Colmar canal path which was mostly paved all the way to Muntzenheim .. where we cut over to Kunheim to follow the bike path in to Neuf Brisach.
The best part of the bike paths is they are along old canals and are over grown with trees giving us great shade in these hot days!
The Colmar canal was constructed to move stone from the Vosges mountains (West) to Neuf Brisach for the construction of the town defences.
A lazy day today with an afternoon snooze trying to catch up on our jetlag!
44km and only 60m of ascent!!!
Tomorrow we'll ride to Strasbourg for a 4 day stay.
