This morning we headed off about 9:30 for the Col de Tamié taking the bike path towards Lake Annecy before making a left turn at Faverges and starting the ascent.
It was an easy assent starting first at 8% then 5% then 3% .. then we got a misting of rain .. so we pulled in to the Abbey Notre-Dame de Tamié to check out their store (cheese and many other trinkets).
Once the rain lifted, we shot to the top of the Col (950m), took a picture and decided we had lots of time so we turned around and retraced out route. It was a great decision because the views of the valley on the return were fabulous!
At the bottom we rejoined the bike path and headed back towards Albertville, stopped to eat a duck at a very nice restaurant .. then coasted into Albertville at around 3pm.

At 5:21pm we caught the train to Landry (Bourge Saint Maurice) to join up with our friends Charles, Kevin, Doug and Carman!
This is a very nice place (Alpine Villa) and we will be here for 5 nights exploring the many routes in the area!
