Today we celebrated Marion's birthday!

To do that, we road to the pretty town of Guardiagrele which is on the edge of the Apennine mountains with wonderful views east to the sea and lots of interesting narrow streets and shops!

A relatively easy ride today at 56km and about 1200m of ascent .. and a refreshing pastry back in the square as we sipped on a beer in our favourite café!

Tonight we went out looking for a birthday dinner and found a small restaurant that serves food 'early' at 7:30! It was a delicious Italian meal with house wine which was quiet good! No room for dessert!

Tomorrow we cycle to Vasto where we have a nice hotel booked in the downtown. We are staying in the old town inland from the beach where we hope to do some nice day rides accessing the interior on what looks like quiet roads. We shall see!
