I bet you thought we were going to cycle into Ragusa! Well, it threatened rain and then it DID rain .. so we chose the bus today and did not get too wet!

Why do we keep seeing the same architecture style in all these towns? In late 1600s, there was a devistating earthquake in this region and 90k people lost there lives. When they rebuilt there towns and churches, they did it in a baroque style - everywhere!

We are glad we visited Ragusa and enjoyed the old section. ... and it was nice to get back to Scicli and dry out!

Tomorrow we are off to Gela along the coast - 70km mostly west of Scicli and weather suddenly looks ok!
