Last night the setting sun promised a sunny day .. and the Gods delivered!
We took off on a 50km loop on yellow (ie. busier) Provincial roads and at the 7km mark ran into mud. Yesterday's rain made it pretty slick so we did not try it but turned around and went down to visit the archeological site.
This site consists of a Greek amphitheatre on top of Mount Barbaro with fabulous views all around and a very impressive temple at the foot of the mountain.
We also got a chance to reconnoiter tomorrow's route to Balastrate and discovered the road was closed. We now have a modified route with a backup route if that does not work!
Cheers
Harold and Marion
