This morning we said goodbye to Doug and Judy (will see then again in Toulouse in 11 days!) and left Montpellier on quiet roads through wine country!
Some of the towns along the way were still clearing up from the heavy rain a few days ago (10 inches in 3 hours! .. Equal to half their normal annual rain fall!). We only found one road that was closed to cars but cyclists no problem.
Many châteaus on our route today and tonight we are in an old one atop of this town with a spacious room with a four post bed! Tonight we will probably pick up food to cook as there is a reasonable kitchen here.
Tomorrow we have breakfast in the garden before heading into the hills and St. Pons de Thomiere.
Weather is looking good here and we look forward to visiting Casters and Albi before swinging north of Toulouse and a might at the airport before flying home Oct 12th.
