We have been enjoying this small city close to Albi for 3 days now. The Goya Museum was really good yesterday and today we did a 85km cycle down the valley to the southwest then into the hills through lots of small villages ending up in Lautrec (medieval town) before the last 15km into the wind back to Castres. We seemed to find all the towns without Patisserie's .. but we did enjoy an expresso at a cafe in Viterbe .
Castres has a nice central plaza and a number of streets blocked off for pedestrians and lots of streets paved with interlocking stone. Some very interesting designs!
Tomorrow we cycle to Albi for 2 nights which we are looking forward to!
