Today we woke up to more rain then the weather cleared and we decided we we're a GO to cycle to Grisolles! We probably made record speed as we raced across hills dotted with vineyards then cornfields crossing the Tarn again and finally arriving at Grisolle on the midi canal.
We arrived in time for lunch at this very friendly and nice Logis de France! Marion had cassoulet and I had the lamb and it was all very good! The rosé wine was la Domains de la Floret out side of Flonton which we cycled by this morning! It was quite nice ..! We also enjoyed dessert which is hard to describe! (Hotel restaurant is closed tonight!)
Yesterdays ride to Cordes sur Ciel and Gaillac was a great ride and we really enjoyed pushing our loaded bikes up the steepest cobble stone road we have ever seen into this Bastide town and poking around and taking pictures!
In Gaillac we stayed at the most wonderful Chambre d'hote in the centre of town and went out for dinner and had probably one of the best meals of the trip! We enjoyed the Domain De Moulin white wine from a winery just up the road from Gaillac.
Tomorrow we cycle to the airport hotel and join up with Doug and Judy, swap some stories and prepare for an early plane departure the next morning!
