8am breakfast .. because it's Sunday! .. but we all managed to eat enough eggs ... and then off went the rollerbladers!
We had a very pleasant ride along the l'Isere river before heading up the switchbacks to Aiton - a 130m ascent. Then it was around the corner and into the valley of the Arc river - all the way to St J de Maurienne on really quiet roads!
We arrived 30 minutes after the grocery store closed (12:30 .. we knew this was going to happen!) and then circled around town like vultures trying to find a place that would serve food .. because it is Sunday .. and everything seemed close!
But finally success! And the lady even found a safe garage for our bikes! (loaded with panniers!).
We had a delicious meal .. good thing too because there will not be much open tonight!
We are well checked in to our airbnb and it is very nice. Tomorrow is definitely a rest day .. and it might rain.
