Today we cycled across the bridge into the twin community of Bourg de Peage and drew a bee-line to the edge of the mountains .. the Vercor region.
Ofcourse our intent was not to climb the mountains (today) but to catch the edge of were it met the valley .. the D125! This road meandered all along the edge taking us into small towns and villages at stream crossings before shooting us out into the valley for a long descent to the town of Chabeuil. It was grand!
Suffering some headwinds, we cut across to Chateauneuf sur l'Isere and then followed the bike route along the river all the way home.
75km 750m ascent .. just so we could enjoy the D125!
Oh dear, the pork roast is taking longer to cook then planned .. we are hungry .. and the smells are torture!
