Heavy heavy mist when we woke up in Sancerre this morning but by 11:30 the sun was out .. and the forecast for tomorrow was 90% chance of rain .. so we decided to leave a day early and miss the rain!

By 12 noon we were on the bikes following the bike path for the first 10km along the Loire with rain clouds giving way to sun which ever way we turned!

But then our GPS said turn left down a clay-gravel road! After some thinking, we decided we had to do it .. but it was fine in the end as it was not Sicilian clay!

The rest of the route in to Saint Fargeau was great along a quiet road.

This town looks interesting and the Chambre d'Hote very nice. We will be fine here for 2 nights! Saturday weather looks good!
