Hi all,
Island Pond borders on a large square of wilderness which has a selection of quiet roads around the perimeter .. great for cycling! We call this the Canaan-Norton loop! This was our loop for today.
Marion and I remember cycling this loop many times when we would camp at the local state park .. and we often ran into moose! .. but not today. Still, we had a fabulous ride on smooth roads with views of the Connecticut River and lakes and wilderness bordering with Canada.
Marion put on her special Jersey and shorts today and we all tried to chase her around the 108km loop! She won and now is icing her sore spots but very happy!
We've had a great stay in Island Pond and the Inn Keepers are working very hard keeping us very happy. Food and rooms are great .. what more could you ask for?
Tomorrow we head home .. it's been a great 2 weeks done here in Vermont!
Cheers
Harold and Marion
