Hi All,
Last time we called this ride "Les Fontilles" but got discouraged by the warning sign! This time we kept to the main road and immediately hit 10 then 12 then 16% slope! Carman was cursing his 28 tooth cassette! (Marion and I have 36T with gravel chain rings!). We got hit 4 times with above 10% grades!
It was a quiet ride up with some great views but hard to capture with the camera with a hazy day. Lunch in the playground at the top in Fleix then a really nice descent to Tormos and on to Sagra, Ondara for refreshments and then home.
Carman said he had 700m in his legs today .. we pushed him to over 750m in 61km. We all had a great day!
Some really interesting tile work in Campell on the way down!
Passing through Beniarberg, we got a good shot of the 0deg Meridian sign on the bridge! Yes we've been passing back and forth over the GMT Meridian all month!
A cooler day today of around 18C. Same tomorrow.
Cheers
H, M and C
