Two nights ago we stayed at a country B&B and the man that ran the place has been living in the area all his life. It was a country estate which he and his siblings inherited I believe. He is really in to music and played great rock and roll on his stereo all day. He particularly likes Neil Young and could play a number of his songs on his harmonica! We had a nice afternoon sitting out on his property watching his cat catch insects in the tall grass, then go for a snooze and finally wake up and start jumping around wanting to play with us!
Today we arrived in Montflaquin early enough to have lunch in the main square .. then check out a church called Saint Andre which Marion took pics of for her sisters. The ride was easy today compared to yesterday although the specs came out similar (60km, 850m climbing).
The Chambre d'hote we are at has a fabulous view across the valley from this hill top village and the lady who runs it is very nice .. and I can understand most of her French! Of course she and Marion lead the conversation! She has invites us for aperitifs 6:30 before we walk into the village for dinner.
Glad you have had some good visits with Mom .. I'll try to visit soon after we are back and try to intersect with Ruth's visit!
Cheers Harold
