This morning Marion's cold kept her off the bike .. and Harold tried a ride to Fabas .. Close to Aurignac. (Mom: 30km South West of Rieumes)
We have stayed in Aurignac twice .. Once with Charles Pryce and Doug a number of years ago .. and again when we cycled through Fabas with Doug the first time we did the Pyrenees 4 years ago .. I think!
I headed off with out too much of a plan other than to follow the flow of the valleys trying to stay on small country roads. It worked great! When I came in to Fabas I recognized the long steep climb we did with Doug into Fabas on my left . and stopped at the Church up on the hilltop for lunch. Great views. The route out was mostly on the D23 along the valley floor and in the afternoon I hooked up to the D3 which was a windy hilltop road with great views either side.

When I got back I picked up a beer and sat in the sun with Marion on the patio. After yesterday's rain, it was a nice sunny day here in Rieumes .. but a bit cool.
