The market next door was a disappointment ... just a few fruit and veggie vendors.
So Grahame and I dropped into the Charcuterie and picked out a rabbit .. cooked with a sauce and ready to go! Pictures to follow!
So today we did not start with a pain aux raisin - instead we did a short climb up the Lacets de Montvernier .. and then coasted down to the village of Le Chatel and stopped at a cafe .. for a coffee!
This was to be an easy day so after a suitable rest we headed down to pick up the Col de Sapey and climbed as far as the church. When the workmen shouted Allez Allez we said Demain Demain and stopped for our lunch! It was another 600m and 6km to the Col ... but not today!
Back in town we headed over to Intersport and found our new jerseys! Pictures to follow!
Total for the day: 700m ascent and 29.9km distance and 32 steps into our apartment on the troisieme etage! (=4th floor) .. plus 16 steps to store bicycles in La Cave.
