The day was looking so promising!
Our loop was up the valley to Nuits-StGeorges and then west into the hills with a 30km climb not exceeding 5%.
A few nice towns gave way to pasture land and then forest. In the distant we could see the clouds forming but nothing too threatening!
Then at 599m of elevation the drizzle set in .. so we decided to do the shorter loop and turned left at the D2 (600m) and down the valley all the way home.
Ah .. the hope was as we dropped in elevation the drizzle would stop .. but no luck until 5km from home!
It was a beautiful valley and we had a great descent despite the drizzle! .. but no pictures!
Tomorrow we expect rain in the morning and have booked a place in Tournus for 5 days. Train. It looks like the weather is improving and we should get some good riding here!
Cheers
Harold and Marion
PS .. as you can see, I'm still working on my french vocabulary!
