This was a great day as we cycled a route I have had my eye on for quite some time! We started from Montorro crossing the old Roman bridge out of town and then finding a winding local road that went straight up!
It levelled out and then climbed at a shallow grade for 30km through forest and protected land with alot of deer behind the fence! It truly was an idyllic ride finally stopping at the info centre 500m higher than Montorro where we had coffee and fried eggplant with molasses - again! It was delicious - again!
It was a fast ride back on a winding road with great banking on the curves - fabulous - and we hardly saw anyone all day!
