This was our last ride with our friends .. as they head north tomorrow!

This Piedmont Battlefield figure 8 ride gets us up on a beautiful ridge with views of the Blueridge to the east. Pictures are elusive though because they are always shots into the sun!

To get to this ridge, we found ourselves on the freshly paved Dam Town Road! Charles was inspired .. and we could not catch him as he raced to the hill crest!

Great ride ! ... ending at the Mount Crawford Creamy and Icecream shop on the hill crest before town.

Dinner at Francesco's tonight!
