Doug and Shirley took today off and volunteered to cook is all dinner! We had not really discussed the route yet .. but they came to breakfast as zombies after little sleep so they needed this day off!
Marion, Gerry, Neil and Harold decided on a route up the beautiful Lliber valley.
At the top of the first climb we once again tried to take a good picture of the iron man and his wine making apparatus.
The descent into Lliber was with its usual rewards of 'tostada con Tomate' and cafe solo for Harold!
For the rest of the day we dodged the wind gusts taking back lanes to Parcent (start of Col de Rates) and on to Benigembla and Murla. Then down in to Orba and around to Sagra and across the 0degree Meridian Bridge and home by 3pm.
I've made my self the following promise: to learn all the names of the villages in a 75km radius of Denia in geographical position. The challenge is to differential all the towns starting with B!
Today we climbed 650m (approx.) Yesterday was 160m if anybody is counting!
Tomorrow I'll try to remember to bring my camera which means more pictures!
We had a great dinner tonight (for 6!) and said good bye to our good friends from England.
Tomorrow .. who knows?
Cheers
