We saw some interesting museums and cathedrals .. as well as we worked in a 90km day ride circumnavigating the city on what they called the 17 Forts route. We saw 2 of the Forts along the route .. the rest of them were buried in brush or cornfields! The route was nice and we especially liked the northern section .. East section into Germany was great too as we saw alot if interesting towns.
We've been watching the weather and, as it appears we were in for some heavy rain, we decided we did not want to miss the canal ride from Strasbourg into the Vogues mountains .. so we left Strasbourg a day early! When we passed into Lorraine and came to Sarrebourg, we jumped on the train to Nancy! (Mom: That's 60km West of Sarrebourg)
Totals for day by bike: 75km .. 375m .. Finally did some climbing today after leaving the canal at km 60!
We have 3 nights here and are looking forward to seeing some sights if it rains .. maybe do a ride if not! .. then catch up with our planned route .. by train or canal path ..
