A chilly morning here in Saint Jean de Maurienne at 10C at 9am .. and overcast!
The weather was promising so Grahame and I decided to do this Col .. and Marion decided to stay home and rest from her chest cold!
We skipped the Lacets and went up via Le Chatel .. where we had coffee Wed!
Despite our warm arms, it was a chilly ascent but with some interesting views as the route takes you along a cliff edge before turning into the grass lands on the final approach to the top.
Lots of German cyclists at the top and a restaurant!
Grahame and I exchanged our wet clothes for 'dry and warm' for the descent as the Garmin read 10C! It was a cool descent on a twisty narrow road mostly in the trees .. alot of fun if you ignored your cold ears!
