Today's ride was into the hills of Saint Sulpice and then down to the Loire Valley to join the bike path home. Great views and hills on quiet roads to start but 32Km on the canal bike path was a bit much as it is not as a smooth as a babies bum .. more like the back of a crocodile!

Ah but you really want to hear about the food! Yes, we found a quiet square after the ride and had a cold Pelforth beer until the smoke drove us away to visit the charcuterie! Marion's treat tonight .. but last night (photos) was truite avec broccoli and courgette and red peppers .. and the Sancere wine!

I must say the Sancere is a bit heavy and we are thinking of drinking Chablis in Sancere come Sunday .. I wonder if it is allowed!

Tomorrow .. maybe a short ride and then a walk around town.
