Tuesday we cycled 71km from Gore Bay to Meldrum Bay. The morning was a bit cool then misty and then some rain .. nothing too heavy and we made good time to Silver Water when the rain stopped and we had lunch sitting on the patio of Cafe 540. Of course it was not open but we had made sandwiches that morning so all was good!
The road into Meldrum Bay was fairly quiet as the forest became denser until we rounded the bend into town and things opened up with a lovely view.
Meldrum Bay is small .. a general store, LCBO and hotel with a beach/camping area and harbour with maybe 10 boats and yachts.
We had a relaxing time eating icecream, then a beer and then dinner. Very nice.
Unfortunately we did not have time to explore the road out to the lighthouse ... 12km of gravel road .. next time!
