This morning we took the advice of the German couple and hired a guide to take us up El Torcal and it was well worth it! This is a karst limestone rock formation at 1200m with fabulous views all around the area we have been cycling for the last 5 weeks. We could see Malaga and the med. to the south, Archadona to the east and the reservoir around Campillos to the west and the mountains of Ronda and El Burgus and the rain clouds gathering to the south west scheduled to arrive over night.
Before going up El Torcal we toured the old city Alcazaba and fort (bell tour) and Santa Maria Church with it's amazing Roman pillars.
Demain - on to Malaga - glad we are taking train as the road to Malaga out of Antequera is steep and busy with traffic!
