Today we hemmed and hawed abit about the weather and pending rain - then decided to go anyway and do an out-and-back around Lake Dunmore.
These are nice quiet roads and if the rains started, it could still be pleasant.
All day the threat was 60% likelihood of rain .. but all it did was spit at us! So on the return we tempted fate and stopped for coffee and a picnic .. all was well. Then we further tempted fate by doing a detour up towards New Haven on the wonderful Munger Street Road! Finally it started to spit a bit harder on the last leg into Middlebury. We squeezed a great day out of what was suppose to be a wet one! Heavy rain warning tonight .. but nothing so far!
Nick and Jenny took off by 4pm for the weekend OBC trip in Johnson so Marion and I are now are on our own 'til Monday! Just us and a dozen hens!
Cheers
Harold and Marion
