Well there you have it .. who would have guessed! The river's name comes from the Maliseet language and means "slow current".
Long drive this morning and on the bikes by 2:30pm heading across the St. John River on an old iron rail bridge now just for cyclists and walkers. Lots of people out today!
This bike trail takes you up an old rail line for a good 10km following the Nashwaak River .. and then it peters out. We then jumped on the River Road and continued up to Durham Bridge before turning around at the 25km mark.
Nice rollers, a few river views and quiet with good road surface. Durham Bridge is another Iron/steel bridge but not pretty.
That dashing young man is Robbie Burns ofcourse! Let me know if you want to see Lord Beaverbrook!
Beer and snacks then dinner on the patio overlooking the river when we got back!
Tomorrow is an easy day .. drive 400km but no cycling planned. We can sleep in!
Cheers
Harold and Marion
